Garmin Gang, Rejoice! Your long-awaited partner in convenience is finally here. Gone are the days of squeezing your favorite elastic watch bands through the proprietary lug spaces of Garmin’s vast smart watch offerings. Simply install a pair of these adapters onto each of your Hook Straps, and swapping bands now happens in a snap! Or simply leave them attached to your Garmin for easier strap installations.

Due to the closed loop nature of these adapters however, you will need a compatible Fixed Bar (FBV3) Hook Strap. This strap model allows for the Hook to be removed through a specially machined notch in the hardware, which leaves the end of the elastic free to slide through the loop of the adapter.

CRITICAL FITMENT NOTE: These adapters extend the position of your lugs (strap articulation points), thereby decreasing the amount of strap needed to go from one end of the watch to the other. Each adapter adds about 0.50” in length to your Garmin, meaning that when two adapters are in use, the watch is now 1.00” longer in the amount of wrist space it consumes. TL;DR: Order your straps 1.00” wrist size SMALLER than your actual wrist size.

INSTALLATION: You can either mount the adapters to the watch first and treat them like fixed bars, or attach them to the strap first. Once installed onto your watch though, you can just use the Quickfit mechanism to remove the strap entirely!

Thicker, Better, Faster, Stronger. Okay, the “Faster” bit might be a stretch. But the rest is all true! It might seem somewhat trivial, but the thought of spring bar failures does not live rent-free in many watch-wearers minds; The level of anxiety is high, and somewhat valid.

One of the most common modes of failure besides blunt trauma or excessive pressure across the midsection tends to be internal spring degradation. Over time, those tiny coils can become corroded and more susceptible to complete failure.

So, what does one do about that? Well, there’s only so much spring you can squeeze into a tiny barrel. Thereby making the first step to increase the overall diameter to contain a beefier spring and a stronger outer shell. Which in turn means broader, double flanges, followed by reinforced tips on each end- Tips which completely fill the pin holes of your watch lugs, thereby reducing unnecessary wear to these vital features due to a sloppy fitment from normal spring bars.

In short, these bars represent a small yet mighty upgrade to an area of your watch that is far more neglected than it should be.

NOTE: Your watch must have enough lug space to use these. The added thickness may not leave enough room for straps to move between them and your watch case.
